Stryker continues to investigate the reported issue and will submit a supplemental report on this event to the fda as provided by 21 cfr 803.56.
Event or Problem Description
The customer contacted stryker to report that their device would not power on.In this state, the device may not be able to provide defibrillation therapy, if it were needed.There was no report of patient use associated with the reported event.
Additional Manufacturer Narrative
Stryker further evaluated the replaced parts at the product assessment center (pac).The technician confirmed that shorted transistor on the eos is causing the issue of no ac operation and no dc battery charge.The technician was unable to duplicate issue of no dc operation testing power pcb assembly.
