Complainant alleged that during a routine shift check by a clinician, the device powered on without display.Complainant indicated that there was no patient involvement in the reported malfunction.
Additional Manufacturer Narrative
The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The customer's report was not replicated or confirmed.The device was put through extensive testing including power cycling, stress testing, and functional testing without duplicating the report.An internal inspection of the device found no discrepancies.Review of the device log found no evidence of the report.The user interface module board was replaced as a precaution.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
