Event or Problem Description

It was reported that during intra-aortic balloon (iab) therapy, the customer noticed abnormal marker position. The distal marker and proximal marker were too close during fluoroscopic confirmation. This issue had no effect on the pressure/ waveform readings or pumping. It was assumed that the proximal side marker had come off and shifted to the center of the iab shaft (raised to the top).In consideration of the risk of iab rupture, it was removed.A new iab was inserted to continue therapy. There was no patient harm or adverse event reported.
