Event or Problem Description
It was reported that during use of the right ventricular (rv) lead two or more inappropriate high voltage therapies for noise occurred.  rv lead integrity alert (lia) triggered for high rate non sustained episodes, high sensing integrity counter (sic).  the rv lead exhibited sudden change in impedance, high undefined impedance, high threshold and oversensing noted on stored electrograms (egm).  a sudden change in rv lead impedance potentially compromising cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) function was noted.  the crt-d was noted to have withheld therapy due to oversensing/noise during ventricular fibrillation (vf).  the crt-d and rv lead remain in use.  no further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
