Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in the mildly tortuous and severely calcified superficial femoral artery.A 3.0mmx40mmx135cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during first inflation at 10 atmospheres for 10 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed using normal method without issue and the procedure was completed with a different device.No complications were reported, and the patient was in good condition post procedure.
