Event or Problem Description
It was reported the zxr00v model intraocular lens (iol) was implanted into the patient¿s ocular sinister (left eye).In a secondary surgical procedure, the iol was explanted due to complaints of debilitating glare, blurry intermediate and near vision.Oculus uterque (both eyes) feels like not in focus, like a film over them which affects daytime and nighttime vision. There was no product quality issue that contributed to the iol explant decision. The explanted iol was replaced with a dcb00 22.5 diopter iol. There was no incision enlargement, no serious patient injury, no suture(s), and no vitrectomy.Patient outcome post-lens exchange procedure was reported as 20/20.The suspect iol is not available for return as it was discarded. No further information is available.
