It was reported that, during an internal fixation surgery, an evos small 2.0mm drill w/ao qc short was broken, in this incidence it was not felt that the drill bit was faulty, more a case of operative difficulty and it "crossing" a k-wire at point of insertion, causing it to break. The procedure was resumed, after a non-significant delay, with a s+n back-up device. No injury was reported as a consequence of this issue.
