B5; additional information received: it was reported that the patient was unable to use his right leg and could not walk without the use of cane from the next day after the index procedure. One to two months postoperative, it was confirmed that there was decrease of blood flow to the right leg.It was reported that the patient continued to have pain, stiffness and numbness, restricting the use of the right leg including loss of balance when turning around. It was believed that a defective vascular graft was placed obstructing the blood flow to the right leg.A bypass was performed in the blocked artery, increasing the blood flow to the right leg. This intervention enabled the patient to walk less frequently with the use of a cane, but the right leg and hip continued to be affected due to restrictions of movement and difficulty turning around.Medtronic submits this report to comply with fda regulations 21 cfr parts 4 and 803.Medtronic has made reasonable efforts to provide as much relevant information as is available to the company as of the submission date of this report. This report does not constitute an admission or a conclusion by fda, medtronic, or its employees that the device, medtronic, or its employee caused or contributed to the event described in the report.Any required fields that are unpopulated are blank because the information is currently unknown or unavailable.Medtronic will submit a supplemental report if additional relevant information becomes known.
