Event or Problem Description
|
|
The patient was initially treated for an abdominal aortic aneurysm (aaa) with implant of an afx2 bifurcated stent graft and an afx vela cuff.Approximately seven (7) years post initial procedure, the patient presented emergently with a ruptured aneurysm.A (non-endologix) dry seal sheath was inserted through the right femoral artery and a vela suprarenal was placed at the junction of the afx2 bifurcated stent graft and the afx vela cuff.An additional excluder (non-endologix) cuff was placed to reinforce the fixation of the added vela suprarenal. The procedure was completed with a balloon catheter touch-up to ensure that there was no endoleak.
