Event or Problem Description
It was reported from brazil that during a acromioplasty and cuff rupture repair procedure, it was discovered that there was significant difficulty releasing the anchor from the fastin rc 5mm ocord w/o ndls device after it was inserted, despite multiple attempts. As a result, the anchor became stuck in the applicator and fractured inside the patient, increasing the complexity of the intervention.Despite this issue, the procedure was completed without the need to replace the anchor, and no immediate serious complications affecting the patient¿s health occurred during the surgery. There was patient involvement reported. There were no reports of injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization. All available information has been disclosed. If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch report will be submitted accordingly.
