Zoll medical corporation has not received the product for evaluation and this complaint is still under investigation.
Event or Problem Description
Complainant alleged that during functional testing, the device displayed an "ecg monitoring failure" message.Complainant did not indicate that there was any patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The customer's report was observed during review of the device logs.However, the device was put through extensive testing including bench testing and ecg stress testing without duplicating the report.An internal inspection found no discrepancies.The defib receptacle was replaced as a precaution.The device was recertified and returned to the customer.The customer did not return their multifunction (mfc) cable for evualation.It was recommended to the customer to discard their mfc cable as a precaution.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
