Event or Problem Description
|
|
It was reported that the cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) correctly detected ventricular tachycardia (vt) but short circuit protection was triggered resulting in less than programmed high voltage energy being delivered. It was noted that the crt-d attempted to deliver the high voltage energy twice, and each time less than programmed high voltage energy was delivered. The cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) was subsequently explanted and replaced and the right ventricular (rv) lead remains in use.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
