|
Information was received from a manufacturer representative regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins). It was reported that during an attempt to implant a lead, the lead was fractured, damaged, or broken. The patient had a significant amount of scar tissue, which contributed to difficulties in steering the lead, resulting in a bend.Troubleshooting steps included changing stylets and applying light force to implant the lead, but the lead could no longer be steered. The issue remains ongoing. The manufacturer representative (rep) indicated they would send any further information as they become aware.
