On (b)(6) 2025, patient underwent treatment for a celiac aneurysm utilizing a gore® viabahn® vbx balloon expandable endoprosthesis (vbx device). It was reported that during the procedure, a 9mm by 39mm vbx device was delivered over a 0.035" rosen guidewire in the celiac artery.Previously, an 8mm by 59mm vbx device had been implanted in the patient in the same procedure without any issues. The procedure involved navigating through the celiac artery that was highly calcified in addition to a highly tortuous anatomy. As the physician maneuvered through the s turns, the vbx device dislodged from the balloon.Despite the physician¿s efforts to reposition the stent, it completely separated from the balloon. At this time, the physician then used a snare to retrieve the 9mm x 59mm vbx device and successfully pulled the stent back into the terumo durable sheath. The physician then ballooned the 8mm by 59mm vbx device and made it larger completing the procedure successfully. The physician suspects the issue may have been due to patient's tortuous anatomy. The patient did not experience any adverse consequences.
