It was reported that a patient underwent a cesarean exploration, total splenectomy, and pancreatic tail repair procedure on (b)(6) 2025, and suture was used. The patient was admitted to the hospital due to multiple injuries to the left chest and abdomen caused by a fall, with pain lasting for more than 4 hours. The surgery was performed on the same day and went smoothly.A double set of drainage tubes were placed in the splenic fossa. Finally, the doctor used sutures to suture the subcutaneous tissue of the upper abdominal segment, and a 7-8mm needle broke. Therefore, a c-arm machine, abdominal plain film examination, and full abdominal ct examination were performed, and no metal foreign bodies were found. It was determined that the broken needle was not left in the patient's body, and the patient returned to the ward safely. No adverse patient consequences were reported.Additional information was requested.
