Complainant alleged that during biomed testing, the device's display was completely black upon powering on.Complainant indicated that there was no patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

Zoll medical corporation has not received the device for evaluation and this complaint is still under investigation.

The customer was contacted for the return of the suspect device.The device has not been returned to zoll for evaluation.

The device was evaluated by zoll medical corporation.The customer's report was duplicated and attributed to a connector on the digital board.The digital board will be replaced to resolve the report.The board was scrapped after testing.The device will be recertified and returned to the customer once the repair estimate has been approved.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
