Event or Problem Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in the severely tortuous and severely calcified vessel in the right forearm.A 5.0mmx40mmx40cm (4f) sterling balloon was advanced for dilation.However, during the third inflation at the maximum of 10 atmospheres for 1 minute, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed and the procedure was completed with another of the same device.There were no patient complications as a result of this event, and the patient was in good condition post-procedure.
