According to the reporter, during a open appendectomy resection, after clamping the tissue, the handle for the firing could not be squeezed. There were no problems with the opening and closing of the jaw; however, the jaw was closed contrary to the intention from the beginning. The handle was replaced at first, but it could not be clamped due to the same event, so the cartridge was replaced and the firing could be done.
