Event or Problem Description
It was reported that during pre-surgery testing, the attachment device was found to not rotate at the speed needed. The rotations per minute were found to be 10,000 to 50,000 but never hit 80,000 like it used to.It was reported that the angled portion of the attachment was getting hot, and burns the finger to hold.Other attachments seem to work fine with the handpiece. This occurred during pre-surgery testing which caused about a 40 minute delay to surgery. This event did not occur during surgery. There were no reports of injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization. The exact date of this event was unknown but was noted to have occurred in 2025.All available information has been disclosed.
