The field service representative (fsr) replaced the display to pump board cable and the small display assembly.He performed mechanical, electrical and visual testing.The unit operated to the manufacturer's specifications.
Event or Problem Description
It was reported that during set-up of the device for a cardiopulmonary bypass (cpb) procedure, the roller pump had a blank screen.As mitigation, the roller pump was controlled via the central control monitor (ccm).The surgical procedure was completed successfully.There was no delay, no blood loss, nor adverse consequences to the patient.
