It was reported that a deep brain stimulation implantable pulse generator (ipg) was "acting up" for approximately a week. The patient experienced left leg shaking, numbness, an electrical shock sensation in the arm, involuntary arm movements with loss of control, right side shaking, and voice hesitation or spasming. The possibility of a depleted implantable neurostimulator was reviewed, and the patient was redirected to their healthcare provider. No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
