Additional Manufacturer Narrative
Device evaluated by mfr: the ranger device was returned for analysis.A visual examination identified that the balloon was not folded which indicates that the balloon was subjected to positive pressure.Blood was noted to be present in balloon. The returned device was attached to an encore inflation unit.Positive pressure was applied when di water was observed to be leaking from a balloon pinhole located approximately 3mm distal from the proximal markerband. As per ifu the rated burst pressure for this device is 14 atmospheres. The markerbands and tip section of the device were visually examined, and no issues were noted with the markerbands or tip of the device.A visual and tactile examination of the hypotube shaft found no issues with the shaft. No other issues were identified with the device.
