Event or Problem Description

It was reported that the deep brain stimulation implantable pulse generator (ipg) reached end of service (eos), and high therapy impedance was observed.Electrode impedance testing at 0.5v and 0.7v revealed all electrode impedances were in the 3000 ohms range, with the used bipolar group at 3505 ohms. The patient was programmed on 0- and 3+ at 0.5v, 70 microseconds, and 130 hz.It was noted that high impedances had been previously observed during a prior visit, but the onset was unclear. The device was replaced due to eos.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
