Event or Problem Description
It was reported approximately eight years, eight months following the implant of a transcatheter aortic bioprosthetic valve, the patient's medtronic valve was failing; the valve exhibited structural valve deterioration with stenosis and high gradients. However, no information was provided related to the gradients noted. It was also noted calcification was observed in the proximal left coronary artery. The patient was enrolled in a clinical study with existing, baseline valve failure to determine whether a redo-transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedure, valve-in-valve, is appropriate. No symptoms or confirmed treatment was reported.
