Complainant alleged that during functional testing, the device would not power up.Complainant did not indicate that there was any patient involvement in the reported malfunction.

Zoll medical corporation has not received the product for evaluation and this complaint is still under investigation.

The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.During disassembly of the device to determine root cause, the technician observed damage consistent with mis-handling.The monitor board will be replaced to resolve the report.The board was scrapped after testing.The device will be recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
