Event or Problem Description
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system being used during a sacroiliac and thoracolumbar procedure. It was reported that the system showed artifact in images transferred from an imaging acquisition system (ias) spin during a spine case.Initially the navigation system's network port was reportedly "pushed in", preventing the network cable from connecting the system to the ias. After the connection was finally established, the spin proceeded. The images on the mobile viewing station (mvs) reportedly do not have artifact, but the images transferred to the navigation system did. There was a delay of less than 1 hour and no impact on patient outcome.
