On december 03, 2025, the mentor analysis lab received the suspect medical device for evaluation.Paperwork received with the device provided a patient identifier.Patient identifier: (b)(6).On december 30, 2025, mentor completed an evaluation on the returned device.Device evaluation: mentor conducted visual inspection and leak testing of the device.During visual evaluation no apparent damage or visual anomalies were observed on the returned device.Leak testing was performed, according to mentor procedure, and it identified a tear on the posterior view, measuring approximately 0.9 cm.In addition, an area of shell abrasion was noted on the edges of the rupture. These findings are consistent with normal wear of the device.Shell abrasion suggests in-vivo folding or creasing of the device, which may be caused by continuous and sustained stresses to the device, such as an excessively small breast pocket or the folding or wrinkling of the shell within the breast pocket. In some cases, breast implants may also experience normal wear over time.Manufacturer¿s reference number: (b)(4).
