Event or Problem Description
According to the reporter, during a cesarean section, while the surgeon was using a synthetic absorbable surgical suture for skin closure, the needle and thread became detached at the connection point as the needle tip passed through the tissue and was about to exit.A new suture was replaced to resolve the issue.There was no patient injury.
