Event or Problem Description
It was reported that the patient underwent a shoulder revision approximately five months post-implantation due to dislocation with humeral polyethylene liner dissociation.Approximately seven weeks after the initial procedure, the patient lifted and carried weights contrary to post-operative restrictions and sustained a dislocation. The patient presented to an emergency department where closed reduction was attempted for a couple of hours. The treating surgeon believed that the prolonged reduction attempts contributed to dissociation of the humeral polyethylene liner, which led to the subsequent revision. It was reported that no further information is available.
