It was reported that a patient underwent an unknown procedure on (b)(6) 2025 and suture was used. The instrument was used for surgical suturing and was operated according to the instructions.During use, the needle stem suddenly broke, causing the surgery to come to a halt.Immediately, the remaining needle at the broken part was found, and the doctor replaced the suture to complete the surgery. The handling of this malfunction prolongs the surgical time, increases the risk of anesthesia exposure for patients, and may lead to the risk of intraoperative complications, resulting in serious consequences.Result: the treatment was timely and had no impact on the patient except for prolonging the surgical time.No adverse patient consequences were reported.Additional information was requested.
