Information was received from a patient receiving an unknown drug via an implantable infusion pump for spinal pain indications. It was reported that in 2022 the patient had a pump revision and the healthcare provider (hcp) woke them up in surgery and said they had found 'a puss in their pocket' and they were supposed to move the pump away from the rib but the hcp didn't.The patient stated they had 2 dye studies leading up to this surgery that concluded that the catheter was leaking. The patient stated 'all they did was change the pump' and sent the patient home.
