Event or Problem Description
|
|
It was reported that the implantable cardioverter defibrillator (icd) delivered inappropriate anti-tachycardia pacing (atp) and shocked for atrial tachycardia/atrial fibrillation (at/af) with rapid ventricular response which the device detected and treated as ventricular tachycardia (vt). The right ventricular (rv) lead had exhibited oversensing resulting in far field r-wave (ffrw) oversensing. The device and lead remains in use.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
