This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information. The following sections were updated:
b4; b5; d2; g1; g3; g6; h1; h2; h3; h6.The event cannot be confirmed.Visual examination of the provided pictures identified an explanted psn cr standard cemented femur. The device shows biological debris and bony ingrowth attached. The device history record was reviewed and no discrepancies relevant to the reported event were found.Review of complaint history found no additional related issues for this item and the reported part and lot combination
(only put if there are no same or similar events).X-rays were provided and reviewed by mmi they state that there is a very thin radiolucent line at the femoral component interface but femoral component loosening cannot be definitively diagnosed without prior baseline images for comparison.Additional findings include generalized reduced bone mineral density and a small knee joint effusion.Overall, loosening or subsidence is not confirmed on the available radiographs, though reduced bone mineral density is noted as a risk factor.A definite root cause cannot be determined. If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusion or information, a supplemental report will be filed accordingly, zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
