It was reported that during a laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, the device was used to fixate the mesh in the inguinal space. The surgeon noted that it took excessive force to deploy the tacks, and in several instances, the tacks did not fully penetrate the tissue and became stuck in the mesh.Multiple attempts were required to successfully deploy additional tacks from the device and properly fixate the mesh.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
