The reported removal of the left tmj device was confirmed based on review of the available clinical information.Surgical feedback indicated that both left side components were well fixed and showed no visible damage or abnormalities prior to explantation.Heterotopic bone formation around the left fossa component was identified and contributed to the difficulty of device removal.Based on the investigation, there is no indication for an incorrectly working product or any design, material, or manufacturing related issue. Therefore, no corrective and/or preventive actions are deemed necessary at this time.
