A site reported to rxsight that a patient was bilaterally implanted with pre-activshield light adjustable lenses (lals) and subsequently underwent one light adjustment treatment and one lock-in treatment in the right eye.Approximately 38 months later, the patient presented to a different clinic reporting blurry vision in the right eye.Upon examination, the right eye lal was observed to have a dome-shaped finding on the anterior surface of the lens; however, the finding was not noted as significant, and a piggyback intraocular lens (iol) was implanted to address the patient's blurry vision associated with residual hyperopia.Approximately 19 months after this procedure, the patient again reported blurry vision, and the right eye lal was noted to exhibit a prominent dome-shaped zone. The surgeon indicated plans to explant the right eye lal; however, it is unknown whether the explant procedure has been scheduled or performed. No additional information has been provided.
