Event or Problem Description
It was reported that the patient received a shock when attempting to start a grill.Upon further review; a lead integrity alert (lia) was triggered due to sensing integrity counter (sic) and high-rate non-sustained episodes. The cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) exhibited oversensing of electromagnetic interference resulting in non-physiologic intervals resulting in arrhythmia misclassification and inappropriate therapies delivered. The crt-d remains in use.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
