H11: manufacturing review: the device history records have been reviewed, and this lot met all release criteria.Investigation summary: although physical device was not returned for evaluation, three electronic photos were provided for review. The first photo shows a partial view of a drainage catheter. The trocar needle is observed protruding from the distal tip of the catheter.Lot and product information were verified with tw details. The second photo shows a partial view of the drainage catheter. The trocar needle was noted to be protruding from the catheter tip.The third photo shows a partial view of the distal portion of the drainage catheter. The trocar needle is noted to protrude from the catheter tip.Though, the trocar needle tip was noted to be protruding in the photos, it is unsure whether the device meet specification and the issue cannot be verified without physical samples. The investigation is inconclusive for the reported trocar needle length longer than the catheter issue for all three devices as it is not sufficient enough to determine whether the product did not meet specifications.A definitive root cause could not be determined based upon the provided information.Labeling review: as the reported event did not allege a labeling or use related issue, a labeling review is not required.E1
