A review of the complaint history for sn (b)(6) was performed in salesforce which did not locate similar complaint(s) with the same failure mode for this serial number.A review of the device history record for sn (b)(6) was performed from the date of manufacture, 29-aug-2025 and confirmed that this device was not previously returned for servicing and there were no production failures which correlates to the customer reported issue.Upon investigation of the actual device used in this incident, it was determined that the refrigerator was not locking properly.A field service engineer (fse) powered off both the refrigerator and the medstation for several minutes, then powered up the refrigerator followed by the medstation and ran the hardware test application (hta); however, the issue persisted. The fse reseated the backup battery board connections on the helmer refrigerator, but the problem remained.Further inspection revealed that the metal strike plate was not properly aligned with the door magnet. The fse adjusted and remounted the strike plate, restoring proper door alignment and locking functionality. The fse then reran the hardware test application (hta) and documented the passing results. The customer successfully accessed inventory from the helmer refrigerator and confirmed normal operation, resolving the issue. The system functioned as intended after the field service engineer repaired the device.
