The account reported finding the dressing was very sticky and too hard to pull off, and the dressing sticks to it making it unusable.A sample was received; medline received 6 boxes of unopened iv start kits, evaluated a kit from each of the boxes received, peeled the paper backing off of the dressing with no tearing and no issue applying it to skin, reviewed finished good production records, and reviewed the finished good pack build.Per the complaint details and the sample received, medline was unable to confirm the reported issue due to no functional or visual defects being observed during evaluation and testing of the samples received. The cause was not confirmed with received sample, and the division will monitor for trending purposes. There were no reports of death, serious injury, medical intervention, or follow up care.It has been determined that the reported event could cause or contribute to serious injury if it were to occur again. In an abundance of caution, this is a reportable event. If additional information becomes available this report will be reopened and reevaluated. This medical device report (mdr) is being submitted as part of retrospective review activities, which include review of historical data in accordance with regulations at 21 cfr part 803.The information included in this mdr reflects the information reasonably known to the manufacturer at the time of this retrospective review and submission.
