Additional Manufacturer Narrative
The reported product problem issue was connectors do not come apart, and the complaint transcript stated that the connectors could not be pulled apart when pumping up the cuff, the neddle does not move, and air will not release.A sample was not received for investigation, but a photo of the sample was received; investigation included review of recent complaint trends, and the vendor reported that through internal investigation, including dhr review and inspection records review, no abnormalities were found. The complaint was not confirmed, and without the sample, it was difficult to truly identify the root use of the issue. No further action was taken because objectionable trends were not seen for this issue, and the division will continue to monitor trends. There were no reports of death, serious injury, medical intervention, or follow up care.It has been determined that the reported event could cause or contribute to serious injury if it were to occur again. In an abundance of caution, this is a reportable event. If additional information becomes available this report will be reopened and reevaluated. This medical device report (mdr) is being submitted as part of retrospective review activities, which include review of historical data in accordance with regulations at 21 cfr part 803.The information included in this mdr reflects the information reasonably known to the manufacturer at the time of this retrospective review and submission.
