A review of the complaint history for sn (b)(6) was performed in salesforce which did not locate similar complaint(s) with the same failure mode for this serial number.A review of the device history record for sn (b)(6) was performed from the date of manufacture, 20-jul-2016 and confirmed that this device was not previously returned for servicing and there were no production failures which correlates to the customer reported issue.Upon investigation of the actual device used in this incident, it was determined that the drawer 2 was not detected on the bus due to a damaged flat flex cable and a loss of communication between the module controller and row boards, resulting in a device not on bus hardware failure.A field service engineer (fse) replaced the damaged flat flex cable, but the communication issues persisted.Fse then replaced the pyxis bus cable.Diagnostic testing confirmed proper communication and functionality, and the customer successfully recovered and tested the drawer and cubies through the application, verified that the issue was resolved. The system functioned as intended after the field service engineer repaired the device.
