A review of the complaint history for sn (b)(6) was performed in salesforce which did not locate similar complaint(s) with the same failure mode for this serial number.A review of the device history record for sn (b)(6) was performed from the date of manufacture, 16-jan-2019 and confirmed that this device was not previously returned for servicing and there were no production failures which correlates to the customer reported issue.Upon investigation of the actual device used in this incident, it was determined that the drawer maps did not populate consistently, preventing the decrementing function from being performed.A field service engineer (fse) investigated mapping issues affecting the half-height matrix drawers and access matrix drawers at multiple stations. The fse identified an intermittent failure in half-height matrix drawer 2.1 and replaced half-height matrix drawers 2.1 and 2.2 because the mapping screen was not appearing. The fse identified an incorrectly connected free-access door at another station and found that the mapping feature was not activating due to a faulty position sensor on the controller. The fse replaced the position sensor and verified that the remaining inspected stations were functioning properly. The system functioned as intended after the field service engineer repaired the device.
