A review of the complaint history for sn (b)(6) was performed in salesforce which did not locate similar complaint(s) with the same failure mode for this serial number.A review of the device history record for sn (b)(6) was performed from the date of manufacture, 09-sep-2021 and confirmed that this device was not previously returned for servicing and there were no production failures which correlates to the customer reported issue.Upon investigation of the actual device used in this incident, it was determined that the device internal cable and connection integrity within the electronic compartment had been compromised, resulting in startup and communication issues that caused the screen to go black and the station to appear offline in remote support service.A field service engineer (fse) powered down the pyxis anesthesia station, reseated all internal cables and connections, corrected the system date and time settings, and adjusted the firewall configuration under the care fusion admin account. The station was restarted multiple times to verify consistent startup and operation. As part of preventive maintenance activities, the field service engineer also replaced the barcode scanner.Following these actions, the station resumed normal operation to resolve the issue. The system functioned as intended after the field service engineer repaired the device.
