The customer reported that the right side of the footboard was not lifting up and everything else was raising fine except for this corner.Medline received one unit consisting of the headboard and footboard only in used condition due to visible scratches and smudges, inspected the unit per pic-00371, and tested the headboard, which continues to function properly, raising and lowering as designed. The customer's complaint has been confirmed; upon inspection, the right side does not elevate in sync with the left side. After removing the panel, medline found that the cable pulley had become dislodged and the pulley axle was bent, likely due to uneven weight distribution; this issue will be tracked by the division for trending purposes. There were no reports of death, serious injury, medical intervention, or follow up care.It has been determined that the reported event could cause or contribute to serious injury if it were to occur again. In an abundance of caution, this is a reportable event. If additional information becomes available this report will be reopened and reevaluated. This medical device report (mdr) is being submitted as part of retrospective review activities, which include review of historical data in accordance with regulations at 21 cfr part 803.The information included in this mdr reflects the information reasonably known to the manufacturer at the time of this retrospective review and submission.
