The unit has a broken power cord at 4284 hours.The sheath appears melted.

Additional/updated information was added to reflect the concentrator being returned to the manufacturer for evaluation.Subsequent testing verified the complaint that the power cord was damaged; however, the underlying cause of the damage could not be determined.The claim that the sheath looked melted was not substantiated.The perfect o2 series user manual states, "if the concentrator has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water, call qualified technician for examination and repair.".
