It was reported by (b)(6) that during service and evaluation, it was observed that the small battery drive device coupling tool side seized, jammed, and was heavy moving.It was noted that the trigger and coupling were sluggish.It was also noted that the device failed pre-repair diagnostic tests for attachment coupling assessment, cannulation, and battery case coupling assessment.It was not reported if this event occurred during a surgical procedure.It was reported that there was no delay in a procedure due to the event.It was not reported if a spare device was available for use.There was no patient involvement.There were no reports of injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.The exact date of this event was unknown.All available information has been disclosed.If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch report will be submitted accordingly.
