Customer contacted ameda, inc.On (b)(6) 2017 ro report leaking battery fluid from the battery compartment of her purely yours breast pump.She states the pump was not acting properly during pumping after installing 6 new aa batteries.In pump base.She heard a pop sound and detected a strange odor from the base.She removed the battery compartment door and black fluid leaked out onto her pant leg and hands.She immediately washed her hands and wiped off her pants with cold water.The customer states her hands became red, irritated and numb with tingling.She remarked these symptoms resolved in a short time and she did not seek out a healthcare professional for advice or treatment.She denied any burn on her leg.A replacement breast pump base was overnight shipped to the customer.
