The pump was returned to mmdg for evaluation.During visual inspection of the pump, corrosion was found due to fluid ingress.Due to the fluid ingress the pump would not turn on and could not be tested for the alleged complaint.The pump was repaired and returned to the customer.
 
Event Description
The initial reporter stated that the pump did not alarm when the flow was obstructed.They also stated that this occurred during testing, and that there was no patient involvement.(b)(4).
