It was initially reported that the physician had to perform a vitrectomy and replace the zcb00 17.0 diopter intraocular lens (iol) as there was a leak (vitreous leak) with the patient's eye.The zcb00 lens was replaced with a 3-piece lens.Through follow up clarification was provided. When the lens was inserted into the eye the physician noticed that there was a tear in the capsular bag.The physician was unsure if the tear was due to the iol or patient anatomy. An incision enlargement was required to remove the zcb00 iol, a vitrectomy was conducted and the lens was replaced with a back-up iol. There was no post-op patient injury. It was noted the device was discarded. No other information was provided.
